News Access for Boston's NeighborhoodsSince 1984, Neighborhood Network News has been covering Boston on the local community access cable television channel. Airing Monday through Friday, NNN is produced by the Boston Community Access and Programming Foundation, in cooperation with Boston University. NNN's office is located in Room 319 of the Boston University College of Communications Building, at 630 Commonwealth Avenue (two blocks outbound from Kenmore Square). Where to Watch. For cable subscribers of Comcast (formerly AT&T Broadband), on Channel 9. For subscribers of RCN, on Channel 83. When to Watch. NNN appears Monday through Friday at 5:30, 9:30 and 11 p.m. Contacts. The mission of the NNN is to concentrate on the news of Boston itself. Through its coverage and by serving as a platform for a variety of guests, the show is both a forum and a crossroads for the full range of the city's communities. Interns and contributors. NNN invites interns and volunteers who are studying journalism (or related field) to work on the show. The show also welcomes freelance reporters developing a career in TV news, as well as community people with a strong interest in local news who would like to contribute to the show as correspondents. Scheduling Note: Because of NNN's reliance on student help, programming is suspended before the beginning of the fall and spring semesters.
